To Peek At

Where: Loch Awe, Scotland
When: 2016
Title: To Peek At

This is part of the ambulatory of the chancel of St Conan's Kirk. It is situated on a crag high above Loch Awe and is surrounded by trees. You can easily find it on the way to Oban and it's pretty impressive. A lot of midges, tho.
But really nice.
And it's said that here they keep a bone of Robert the Bruce.

Seawood

Where: St Cyrus, Scotland
When: 2016
Title: Seawood

That was another surprise on our way back to Aberdeen.
St Cyrus is a small village and apparently there's nothing but a church, a grocery and few houses. But behind the church there's a cliff and down there's this wonderful, beautiful, long, golden beach. It's impressive from above as it's a 180 degrees view of sand and sea.
The pic I have posted is not that impressive. But believe me, I made almost 100 photos of St Cyrus and they're not good enough to show that beauty.
You have to see it with your eyes.

This shows my hubby resting on a sea-wood that lies in the small bay at the end of the beach.
Love it.

Although you can just imagine the Slains Castle, because today it is just a ruin, it's worthy to have a walk inside the walls.

The Slains Castle at Cruden Bay.  We were driving back to Aberdeen when it appears, as in a dream. And the sunset was helping, indeed.

Walk on the Water

Where: Greenock, Scotland
When: 2015
Title: Walk on the Water

They say Greenock is not the nicest place in Scotland. Well, actually it is not. Still, it's not so bad.
However, beauty is in the eyes of who's watching. And there's always a secret wonderful place to discover.

Hair

Where: Glasgow, Scotland
When: 2015
Title: Hair

It's not a mystery that one of my favourite musical is Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical. When I first saw an Highland cow, the typical cattle breed you can find in Scotland, I felt completely in love with it. Apart being beautiful, stunning animals, they are really cute too. And kinda curious ... they will get close to you in a moment if interested.

Walking by

Where: Ardrossan, Scotland
When: 2015
Title: Walking by

Ardrossan is one of my favourite spots here in North Ayrshire.
When the tide is low, the beach shows its wrinkled face and every furrow is a story.

Moon Lemon

Where: Glasgow, Scotland
When: 2015
Title: Moon Lemon

Getting back from a walk, behind the roofs, we saw this peculiar moon with Venus near it.
Suddenly, I remembered why the Moon is so fascinating.
Once at home, I saw Georges Méliès's A Trip to the Moon. Very funny.

White Soul

Where: Loch Lomond, Scotland
When: 2015
Title: White soul

Actually, it is not the soul of the lake, but that of the low wall in front of its waters.
It was a surprise to find some white embedded into the grey of that wall.
